1. Scope
These terms apply to gardienne.gr, Gardienne accounts, memberships, the Shop, Gift Cards and, when available, the app and connected personal-safety features.
2. Personal-safety service
Gardienne may provide tools such as trusted contacts, SOS/alerts, Journey, activity timeline and connected features. It does not guarantee that a third party or authority will receive, see or respond to an alert. In immediate or serious danger, contact the appropriate emergency services.
3. Account and responsible use
Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials and use the service lawfully. Unlawful tracking, harassment, false alerts, misuse of trusted contacts, fraud or other abusive or unlawful activity is prohibited.
4. Technical requirements
Some features depend on a compatible device, operating system, network connection, GPS, permissions, battery state and third-party services. Updates, maintenance or external outages may temporarily affect availability.
5. Memberships and automatic renewal
Memberships are offered at the billing cycle and price shown before purchase. Where a membership is recurring, it automatically renews for the relevant cycle until cancelled. Payments are processed through an external payment provider.
6. Cancelling a membership
You can cancel online through the secure membership-management portal. Under the current commercial policy, access continues until the end of the already-paid period. Cancellation does not by itself create an automatic refund, subject to rights available under applicable law.
7. Shop, orders and payments
Products, prices and availability are shown in the Shop. Order totals are calculated by the system and payment is made through a secure payment provider or, where supported, a valid Gardienne Gift Card. An order is completed when payment or full Gift Card coverage is confirmed.
8. Physical products - withdrawal and returns
For physical products, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right is recognised where applicable. The final return procedure, return costs and shipping details will be published before commercial launch and will not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
9. Faulty or incorrect products
Faulty, incorrect or non-conforming products are handled separately from a change-of-mind return and in accordance with mandatory consumer rights. Customers should contact support for case-specific instructions.
10. Refunds
Where a monetary refund is approved, the intention is to return it to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required. For Gift Card payments, the final re-credit process will follow the policy applicable to the transaction and applicable law.
11. Gift Cards - purchase and delivery
A Gardienne Gift Card is purchased as a digital product. The purchaser selects its value, recipient details, personal message and, where available, delivery date. After successful payment a unique code is created and delivered to the recipient.
12. Gift Cards - use, balance and validity
A Gift Card can be used across one or more eligible purchases until its available balance is exhausted. If its value exceeds the purchase amount, the remaining balance stays available. The current validity period is 60 days from purchase, with the specific expiry date shown after purchase and in the recipient email. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
13. Prices, taxes and charges
Prices and any applicable taxes or additional charges must be shown before the final order in accordance with applicable law. Final VAT, shipping, delivery-area and delivery-cost information will be completed before commercial launch.
14. Electronic communications
Transactional emails may be sent where necessary for accounts, orders, Gift Cards, memberships, support and newsletter confirmation. Marketing communications are separated from transactional emails and provide the required way to unsubscribe.
15. Intellectual property
The Gardienne brand, design, software, text, photography, graphics and other content are protected by the rights of their respective owners and may not be used beyond what is permitted by law or licence.
16. Suspension and misuse
Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, serious misuse or breach of these terms, subject to mandatory user rights.
17. Liability
Gardienne must not be treated as a substitute for an emergency service and its operation depends on technical and external factors. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
18. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as services, commercial features or legal requirements change. Material changes affecting an active relationship or membership will be communicated as required by applicable law.
19. Governing law and company information
Final legal name, registered address, tax/registry information, governing law and consumer-dispute information will be completed after company formation and before commercial launch.
