1. Who this policy covers
This Policy applies to gardienne.gr visitors, Gardienne account holders, members, Shop customers, Gift Card purchasers and recipients, people using the contact form and newsletter subscribers.
2. Account information
To create and operate an account we may process your name, email, profile information, profile photo where provided, authentication information and technical sign-in data.
3. Personal-safety features
When you enable relevant features, trusted contacts, contact invitations, alerts/SOS, Journey information, activity events and your chosen settings may be used to provide, secure and support those features.
4. Location
Features such as Journey, live location or alert location may require access to device location. Access depends on the permissions you grant on your device or in the app and should be used only when necessary for the feature you choose.
5. Memberships, Shop and orders
For memberships and purchases we may retain the selected plan, membership status and dates, order number, products, quantities, amounts, order status and transaction identifiers needed for checkout, support, refunds and payment reconciliation.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. Gardienne is not intended to store full card details. We may receive and retain technical transaction identifiers and status information required to fulfil a purchase or membership.
7. Gift Cards
For Gift Card purchase and delivery we may process value and balance, the code or a secure technical representation of it, purchaser name, recipient name and email, personal message, delivery date, expiry date and redemption history. If you buy a Gift Card for another person, you should have the right to provide their contact details.
8. Contact and newsletter
When you use the contact form we process your details and message to respond. For the newsletter we use your email and confirmation status. Marketing communications should always provide an easy way to unsubscribe.
9. Purposes and legal bases
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or take steps you request, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention, or rely on consent where consent is required.
10. Service providers
Gardienne uses external technology providers. The current architecture includes services such as Supabase for backend/database/authentication, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery and Vercel for hosting/deployment. Providers process information according to their role and the terms applicable to each service.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary technologies may be used for security, authentication and core functionality. Any non-essential analytics, advertising or similar trackers should only be enabled in accordance with consent choices required by applicable law.
12. Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as required for its purpose, security, dispute resolution or applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
13. Your rights
Where provided by the GDPR and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
14. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards under data-protection law are used.
